Tourism Minister Is Optimistic over Increasing Number of Tourists in Coastal Areas in Cambodia PDF Print E-mail

Tourism Minister H.E. Thong Khon is optimistic about an increase of tourists in the coastal areas in Cambodia, saying that the number will rise from 6 to 10 percent.

The minister told reporters on May 30 that his optimism about the increase is on account of the assistance from the World’s Most Beautiful Bay Club after Cambodia’s coastline officially recognized and the great effort made by Cambodia in broadcasting tourism.

Cambodian Rubber Receives ISO Certificate PDF Print E-mail

The National Specifications Laboratory of Cambodian Rubber Research Center has got a certificate of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 on rubber quality control earlier this week.

Mr. Yin Song, Director of the Cambodian Rubber Research Institute said the certification will promote Cambodian rubber product at the international markets.

Malaysia Blames Thailand over Cambodia Border Clash PDF Print E-mail

Malaysia on Monday blamed Thailand for the renewed clashes on the Thai-Cambodia border, saying it had reneged on a deal to send observers to the disputed region.

The dispute overshadowed a weekend summit of the 10-member Southeast Asian bloc, where Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen launched into a tirade against Thailand over the conflict that has left 18 dead since last month.
