Cambodia To Attend JBC Meeting in Thailand PDF Print E-mail

Cambodia has accepted Thailand’s proposal to hold the Meeting of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC) on Feb. 13-14 in Thailand, said a press release of Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation dated today.

Senior Minister in charge of border affairs H.E. Var Kimhong and Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Long Visalo will lead a Cambodian delegation to attend the meeting, it said.

According to the press release, the above meeting will discuss issues concerning border demarcation and survey of the remaining border pillars in areas outside the Preah Vihear Temple region because the Preah Vihear Temple area is subjected to the Interpretation of the 1962 judgment by the International Court of Justice, as requested by Cambodia.
