PM To Attend 4th GMS Summit in Myanmar PDF Print E-mail

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high delegation to attend the Fourth Greater Mekong Subregion Summit (GMS Summit) to be held on Dec. 19-20 in Nay Pyi Taw, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The Cambodian premier will be accompanied by Senior Minister and Commerce Minister H.E. Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister and Environment Minister H.E. Mok Mareth, and other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued today.

During the summit, it added, the following documents will be signed:

- Joint Declaration of the Fourth GMS Summit (signed by the leaders of the GMS countries: Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam).
- MOU for Joint Action to Reduce HIV Vulnerability Related to Population Movement.
- MOU on the Joint Cooperation in Further Accelerating the Construction of the Information Superhighway and its Application in the GMS.
- Articles of Association of the GMS Freight Transporters Association (FRETA).

Besides the summit, Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will pay a courtesy call on President of the Union of Myanmar H.E. U Thein Sein.
