Cambodian Premier Inaugurates Development Center for Disabled Soldier PDF Print E-mail

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his wife yesterday inaugurated Samdech Techo Hun Sen Kulen 317 Siem Reap Development Center for Disabled Soldier (DCDS).

 

Samdech Techo Hun Sen said this is one of the government priorities to build a strong social welfare for Cambodian disabled soldiers.

We have to understand that our disabled soldiers are not only scarified for our territory, sovereignty, and peace, but they are also our potential human resource for country’s economic development, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said.

The DCDS constructed in Balaing district, Prasat Bakuong district, Siem Reap. It is one of the centers were build under Samdech Techo Hun Sen Foundation and other development partners after the first DCDS in Chhok district in Kampot, a southwestern province was inaugurated.

It was constructed on January 20, 2009 with approximately US$ 3 million. There are 121 houses were build in the center for 115 disabled soldier families, and 6 teacher and medical doctor family; pagoda, admin office, health center, and a school.
