Cambodian Seeks Direct Flight from Italia PDF Print E-mail

Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon asked Italian to open direct flight to Cambodia, H.E. Tith Chantha, General Director of Tourism told media.

The proposed idea has been raised during the discussion between H.E. Thong Khon and H.E. Sen Carlo Giovanardi, Senator and Secretary to the Italian Prime Minister held on Tuesday.

H.E. Italian Secretary to Prime Minister agreed to take this proposed idea to discuss and hope the direct flight will open in the future, H.E. Tith Chantha said.

According to H.E. Tith Chantha, Cambodian today there are more than 150 flights have weekly landed in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airports.

In the first semester of the year, Cambodia has attracted 1.3 million foreign visitors, and there were 9,700 Italians, increased to 8.7%.

This year, Cambodian expects to attract 2.7 millions foreign visitors and generates US$1.9 billion revenue.
