|French PM to Visit Cambodia Early July|

At the invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Prime Minister of French Republic H.E. Francois Fillon will pay a two-day official visit to Cambodia, according to the press release issued yesterday.
During his stay in Cambodia, H.E. Francois Fillon will hold talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and will pay courtesy call on Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni and retired King Norodom Sihanouk, it said.
He will also attend the inauguration ceremony of closing construction site of Ba Puon temple and visit to Angkor Wat temple as well.
This is the first visit of French prime minister, said H.E. Koy Kuong, spokesman of Foreign Ministry, through this visit, he added, will further strengthen the ties of friendship relations and cooperation between the two countries.
So far, France has helped Cambodia in several sectors, especially in health, and educational sectors as well as in repairing Cambodian temple of Bapuon at the total cost of more than 9 million Euros, he added.
The government of France also pledged to provide US$ 80 million to Cambodia for the country’s development for 2010-2012.
